The local veterans groups – VFW, American Legion, and VFW auxiliary – are selling by silent auction military service fleece blankets and a flag quilt made and donated by Cathy Hammel. “These are warm, beautiful, and soft; the perfect gift for the person who values military service and country,” a spokesperson said.
Bids may be placed at the east entrance of the courthouse now through June 11. The winners will be announced on June 13.
